TURQUALITY® Program: Turkey's Brand Development and Support Initiative
What is TURQUALITY®?
TURQUALITY® is the world’s first and only government-supported branding
program, backed by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey. Its primary
goal is to help Turkey develop competitive and high-value-added brands, thereby
strengthening its position in international markets. The program provides
support at every stage of the branding process, enabling firms to achieve
sustainable success on the global stage.

The
applicant company must have engaged in export activities during the last three
calendar years, including companies with organic ties to export sales.
2.
The
average annual export value of the applicant company must be at least USD 3
million for the last 3 years as of the application date.
3.
The
trademark applied for must have been registered in Turkey for at least one
year.
4.
The
trademark must be registered in at least one country (excluding Turkey) that is
a signatory to the Madrid International Trademark Registration Protocol of the
World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for at least one year.
5.
The
domestic trademark registration must have occurred before the first
international trademark registration.
6.
Both
domestic and international trademark registrations must be held under the same
company name.
7.
The
domestic and international trademark registrations must be in the name of the
applicant company, or a company within the same group or holding company with
an organic link to the applicant company.
8.
Applications
using trademarks with expressions, symbols, shapes, signs, or country, city, or
region names that may harm or contradict the image of Turkish products or
brands will not be accepted.
